Directories in Project Manager

  • I'm just starting to use 1st Page. Most of my project have multiple directories with images and other html documents in them. The Project Manager doesn't want to accept these subdirectories. How can I reflect them in a project?

    TIA

    Hi Peter,

FirstPage 2006 does not support the adding of directories to the Project Manager per see. What you need to do is go into each of your sub-directories and add the files contained within into the Project Manager. Project manager will contain the correct path to the relevant directories/sub directories within itself.
The ability to add directories and sub-directories was a suggestion by one of the posters when we were reviewing the beta releases. Such a feature had not, so far, been included.

  • Thanks for your reply. I can see why you do that, but it's a problem when you have a lot of files. Using sub directories helps me keep things organized in my disorderly mind. I hope you will implement subdirectories as an option in the near future. They will allow users to avoid clutter and confusion. I've seen at least one post that indicates users do have a problem with this. Take another look at HomeSite 5.5 which handles this well.

    Peter
