American Eagle Will Launch Regional Jet Service Between ORD & Richmond, VA

  • American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, announced today that it will start regional jet service between Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Richmond, Va. The airline will offer three daily round trips with 37- and 50-seat Embraer regional jets starting Jan. 4.

The new service is a continuation of American Eagle's expansion at Richmond after launching regional jet service there earlier this year to both Boston and New York's LaGuardia Airport

  • Finally some competition here in Richmond for United. UA's fares to Chicago are way too high. I would have preferred mainline service, but hey, we'll take it.
