Facing frustration in old age

Most of the people have to face frustration in old age. They are not tolerating that the children who were brought to this world by him, then they were brought up by him, then they were given education by him, then they were given training by him and then they were adjusted at work and even he had been arranging their marriages, are not looking after them in old age. They are not listening to them. They do not carry out the orders passed by them. They are not consulting them. They are not providing them with bare necessities of life. If they have got more than one sons, sometime the sons shall be taking them by turns or sometime they shall be keeping one with one son and the other son shall be taking away his mother or father alone. The old people are not allowed to live the remaining life as one and at one place.
If the parents are having money and assets and the children are not well provided, then they shall be looking after their parents and shall be waiting for their turns because such parents are not burden on them, but shall be supporting them. But if the children are rich, they would not care what their parents have and therefore, such parents are not demanded by the children.
Some parents are not given suitable accommodation in the house and some spare room is vacated for them from they may not be having proper approach to the kitchen, bath room and the latrine. They may be calling for some help and there could be none to listen to them and help them. If they are ill, the children are not serving them and at times such parents are not given proper treatment. We have seen that some parents are given shelter in old age homes where the children may be making payments, but the parents are deprived of all the facilities of the home and they are cut off from the remaining members of the family. at times these parents are maintained by the government or by some social service organizations and the children though are well settled, have got no shame for such an action.
The man who is living a life must keep in his mind his old age and therefore, it shall be better for him if he or she is collecting some money and depositing the same in saving account or he may be contributing towards some old age security so that these amounts could be available to him. It shall be better if the amount is available to him monthly basis because money given in lump sum is often utilized by the children and they are not having in their mind that their parents had been collecting this amount for their own old age. The parents who are not keeping the old age in their mind shall suffer much and now they know that joint family system is no more alive and therefore, their children would not keep them with them . Lucky are the parents who are looked after by their children and unlucky are the parents who are not looked after by the children and therefore, everyone must keep himself or herself in the list of unlucky parents and must keep something with them for their old age.
The old age is otherwise a period of frustration because the man and woman lose all strength, power and energy and they are wholly dependant upon others. If they have got money, they would be able to have a servant with them to look after them and if they have got no money with them, they shall be facing all the difficulties of life in this old age. Therefore, when we are young, we should keep this period of old age in our mind.
